Is a girl’s life less valuable than a boy’s?

I know this question sounds ridiculous of course girls deserve equal rights – but in developing countries around the world, millions of girls face life threatening disadvantages—malnutrition, lack of education, violence, and sexual abuse. All because they are born as girls.

Will you join me in doing our part to end this cycle of discrimination against girls by sending a letter to President Obama with three simple things he can do to help? It only takes a minute.

If we don’t speak up now, millions of girls worldwide will continue to be denied equal rights, just because they are girls. No girl should be less nourished, because boys are fed first. No girl should face daily violence and abuse or sexual and economic exploitation. No girl should be deprived of an education.
Join me in sending a message to President Obama, urging him to help every girl get the education, legal rights, and opportunities she deserves.
