I like this ad. It’s cute, and hints at the serious problems we (all of us, including the animals) are facing with global warming. But it tells a sliver of the story while manipulating hearts and minds. What if all that creative energy went into educating folks about caulking their windows and doors, insulation and composting, recycling and farmer’s markets? What if the auto companies hadn’t killed the electric car decades ago, and had promoted hybrids and electric cars in the same way they promoted and sold gas-guzzling trucks and SUV’s? What if those creative types devoted their energies to that?
